The cable has only two pins/leads. This means it will not map cleanly to an rs232/rs422 serial port that your computer uses, and you will need custom circuitry in between to translate the voltages. If you have an oscilloscope, you can figure out what this mapping is, but it's probably beyond the non-technical amateur to try. (I'd do it, but I'm not in hardware anymore, and don't have access to a 'scope).
