I think it may be important to point out that whilst I've taken up "Mr Lung's" (Chinese?) challenge to deny that Fla.'s wrecks are second to none, I wouldn't make the same silly statement about wrecks in the U.K. Each destination has it's own merits- Fla.'s numerous small modern wrecks in deep, warm water (thanks George), Truk Lagoon's obvious merits, the wrecks of the NE US and the Great Lakes, the countless wrecks around the U.K and so on. I love diving in the U.K., I've done my best dives over here, the diversity and challenges available are endless, and it's on my own doorstep which makes it even better. I've also done my worst-trolling around in a rigid inflatable in the wind and rain, trying get marks and soundings for ages and then missing slack only to have 1' viz and 2kts of current. On sand. And the winter sucks. Why don't we have some posts about why we all dive a favourite wreck area or individual wrecks? Some people have done this and it's interesting. Incidentally, anyone got any idea on the best (cheap) way to chemically remove corrosion from brass. I have a spoked gear wheel that I want to clean up. It's too intricate to just polish up.
