I'm sorry that you chose to reply to "my" message (and forward it to other
lists) to convey your message about Bird. 

I normally prefer to stay away from "Floridian politics", but you are
bringing me in.  The simple fact that you and Bird do not like each other
does not make him a bad instructor or you a bad explorator.

While you achieved great exploration results, Bird certainly is achieving
great educational results.  I had the chance of being one of his students
(like many others, including WKPP divers) and he is certainly competent,
carefull, professional and anything else positive we can immagine.  Bird is
also a well respected instructor.

While I do not condone this practice, I may understand his excitement of
sharing this letter with some of his friends.  After all, how many times
did you attack someone on the internet?...  Even if those were not
connected (and some cases, dead).  (I feel this will happen to me as I do
not subscribe nor read Cavers '-)
