This petty bickering is like a childrens playground: "he took my ball". You guys think back to when you were certified to dive.......Remember when your instructor said to dive with a buddy, do a buddy check before you enter the water, know your buddies equipment?? Remember that?? Form an observers point of view, it appears that Rich Pyle went deep with a rebreather and his buddy used another kind of rebreather. Bill Elliott goes abroad and makes films with more that one type of rebreather and lots of other different stuff. Then we come to our pal George Irvine iii. Now if I recall when George was diving mix, everyone on the team had trained together and all were using exactly the same rigs, when George switched to diving rebreathers, the whole team uses the same type of rebreather, the same type of scooter and the same type of other life support gear. Wow, guess what? From an observers point of view, it looks like George is doing it right. Maybe we should pay attention to what he says. We may not like what he has to say or the way he says it, but as technical as it is, it is based on sound and proven techniques. Remember the old saw?.... be familiar with each others equipment, do the buddy check, stay with your buddy, dive the plan, and don't be afraid to scrub the dive. Oh yeah, one other thing, to be a better diver you need to practice by diving. Right on George!
