Ron, You pays you money, you takes you choice. Is IQ analytical ability? Stupid question. Obvious answer. IQ is NOT analytical ability. It is a measure of your performance on a particular kind of test where he questions on this kind of test require analytical ability to solve. QED If your performance results on this kind of test go down in a pretty much linear fashion with depth (which they did), something is causing the degradation in performance. Maybe its the psychic influence of the deep sea life. Perhaps its the lack of psychic influence of your fellow humans - it being blanked out by the water. Maybe your analytical ability is being eroded by the consumption of a narcotic like Nitrogen under pressure If you wish to cry and moan about 'environmental factors' or 'race factors' or 'gender factors' in the results go ahead - it didn't matter. That would matter if you were comparing the groups together. Instead, what was being compared was delta change in individual results with depth - and they were constant with the population tested. So, what do YOU consider to be analytical ability? Your ability to drive on n 6packs of beer? -- William E.
