In a message dated 97-05-30 22:11:32 EDT, you write: << Tony, You've basically seconded Tom Mount's conversion arguement; ie. if they experience deep air and then trimix they will dive/appreciate trimix. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Shaun You are entirley incorrect, to my knowledge I have seconded no one's opinion, rather stated my own. Any other assumption is your opinion. >>>>>>>>>>>>> When you're teaching a deep air course (acting as the EXPERIENCED instructor) are you diving air or trimix? Based upon your posting I would guess trimix, right? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Shaun I do not teach "Deep Air" courses and have not for some years. On what experience do you question any of my post ? (since you are "guessing") >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> What percentage of the people taking deep air courses where trimix is available are taking the course only because it is a requirement for the trimix course? To rephrase this: what percentage of students already know the problems with deep air but are taking the coure without any intent of diving deep air? >>>>>>>>>>> Shaun, Your question makes little sense, but I think the answer is (if i read the question correctly): 100% of the people take my programs have no designs on deep air diving as I do not teach this type of program as a stand alone. I have my requirements for my programs, these exceed the standards in all areas by wide margins (no not depth, mix, etc. rather scope) it has nothing to do with required "courses". If you are trying to imply I am teaching with dollars as my primary motivation, I am afraid you are way off track and this is well known by all. >>>>>>>>>>>>> And finally, what percentage walk away from the deep air course with a C card and no intention of taking the trimix course? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Just some things to think about. Shaun >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>. Shaun, think about this....the answer to your final question is...absolutley none, zero, nada, does not and will not happen. I hope this satisfies your curosity and answers your questions. Safe Diving, Tony M. Satterfield >> -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
