Hi George,

I don't post to the cavers list, just read and learn.  Anyone with half a
brain could tell from your initial post on the subject that you were
extremely saddened by Rob's death and couldn't understand how it could
happen to someone who you _thought_ had views about deep air diving in
accordance with your own, and had in fact voiced these in his writing.  

Whether or not Rob's death was attributable to deep air diving, or as some
say to a heart attack at the surface, it has still caused the subject of
deep air diving to come under extreme scrutiny.  This can only benefit both
those with lots of deep experience and those with only a little.  I can
tell you that the debate in general, and your strong views in particular
have caused _me_ to totally re-evaluate my personal air limits and change
them accordingly.
