I don't think anyone expected Rob to be anything more than a man subject to the standard falabilities. He made contributions and he made mistakes. So far all I have seen from you is one big mistake ! Keep in mind that all the facts pertinent to this incident are not in yet. It is suspected that Rob suffered some kind of problem before descent and sank to these depths, unconscious.
