No, it is not a fact! The fact is that you will notice little if any difference in breathing due to hose diameter. This has been discussed a lot on this list and "cavers"! 2. The increased breathing efficiency across a broad spectrum of diving depths (surf to 330fsw is my experience) that you will see with the SCUBAPRO G-250 (second stage), with a SCUBAPRO MK10 or MK20 (first stage) is tremendous! I have used Poseidon, Dacor, US Divers, Oceanic, and Sherwood first and second stage combinations, and I wouldn't buy anything except SCUBAPRO MK 10 or 20 with the G-250 second stage! The WKPP guys use this reg for some pretty extreme diving, I think they use a Poseidon first stage with the G-250's. 3. Hopefully that helped, and I'll be standing by for input on my staunch views! ;-) DIVE SAFE, Dave M. ******************************************* * Dave Montague, LT, USN * _____ 0000 * Andros Island, Bahamas * (_/ \_)ooo * subterraneous-submarine-speleologist * ---=>O< oo * aka: "Deco Dave - the Dive TERMINATOR" * Cave Diver's do it... * rso@wp*.nu*.na*.mi* * with deeper penetration * 562-655-5155 (x5178) * in the dark! ******************************************* -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
