A small group of us are contemplating building scooters for our own use.   
 We plan to use the scooters for UK wreck diving, depths typically in the   
60-80 m (200' - 260') range but would like it to operate to 100 m (330').   
 For shallower diving we would need no more than 60 minutes burn time.   
 We have access to workshop skills and facilities.

I was wondering whether there was any information out on the net or   
whether there were any experiences that people would like to share.  A   
consideration is that the scooter should be inexpensive but safe (i.e.   
not explode!).
