Regards, Kent The US Navy uses color coding on valve handwheels to identify the piping systems contents - seawater, chillwater, fuel, sewage (we called it CHT for collection, holding & transfer) In the Damage Control Central of the ship I was on in So. Carolina we had a valve color coded and labeled "Potable Water / CHT X-connect" The DCO wasn't too fond of it, but he let us keep it.
