Mike,

"At atmospheric pressure and breathing air, the normal half-life of CO in 
blood is approximately 5 hours 20 minutes, although this may be dependant
on metabolic rate, and other factors.  Breathing 100% oxygen at one
atmosphere, the half-life is shortened to 1hour 20 minutes." (Bennett and
Elliott, "The Physiology and Medicine of Diving", 4th edition)
