(Much commentary and expletives deleted, including the original post) 'Dollars-to-Donuts' the original post was flame bait. Anyone who has read about the WKPP from this mailing list and even admits to owning a Transpac knows they're asking for a charcoaling. Although DCS is no laughing matter, viewing this post as 'bait gave me a good laugh. On a completely different subject: I'm think of getting myself a set of steel doubles for use here in California (Monterey) waters. I agree with the LP steel approach, but am curious regarding bouyancy concerns of salt vs. fresh water for tank selection. The fresh water choices have been well covered on this list. Currently, using a single steel 72 or AL 80 with drysuit (neoprene), need 26-28 lbs on the weightbelt. Assuming I go Hogarthian with a stainless steel backpack (and a V weight?), what would be a good choice in tanks? Like to have at least 160-170 cu. ft. minimum of gas on my back.
