You guys have gotten way off the subject , which was goober dive instruction in the US. While you all were arguing, we put out two web pages by Bentley - one showing the restults of bad instruction, one showing how to do it right. You will all remember when Bobby McGuirre got killed and we had this huge argument over gas training standards, and the discussion of partial pressure of oxygen used in various nitrox applications. At that time, we hammered ANDI , TDI, and IANTD over this. Mount and TDI have evolved theirs over that last couple of years to more closely approximate the experience gained in commercial diving, leaving only ANDI with outrageous practices. I have an ANDI nitrox from years ago myself and know how far off the wall they were - that is until Satterfield cleaned it up. Whatever Tony and I were arguing about, and I think it was just his defense of drooling goobers, which was not his intention, as these scumbags defend nobody but their mutant clan, has long ago evolved into the current silliness. Notice that the goobers are all glad to see the focus back off of them. Let's go back to the subject of instruction: Tallahassee caves are clearing, promising a big summer of diving. Trust me when I tell you that "personal prefereence" and blubbering goobery will not cut it in Leon Sinks - we need to get the safety message out prior to the body bags this year. What is being taught in cave, gas , and technical diving will not cut it in Tallahassee Power Cave - either get you shit together or stay out of Tally -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
