But, every weekend I >was > off and running to some place in Florida and the money was well worth >it! This does not sound the likes of a trrrrue Scotsman, lad. I bought all me equipment at yarrrd sales and dug it out of the bottom of diveshop doompsters. Me drysuit is made out of uuused condoms and me mask is the bottom of two coke bottles held together with wire & tape. To save money on rrrrefills I take me tanks (old fire extinguishers) and go 'round to all the gas stations, doin' cascade fills from the tire hose. Me fins are... Well, lets just say there's a couple o' gimpy pelicans somewhere out there. For a dive boat I rrrride on the prop guards of the long island ferry. Rrreal cheap, but it can be a rrrough getten picked back up. If you're rrrreal lucky, a scallop dredge will come along and you can do a decom stop and get a rrride back to the dock at the seam time. And don't forget to fill yer pockets with them scallops, laddy! Jim -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
