According to my manual the Odin secondary pressure is set at a MAXIMUM
of 145 psi so I see no reason to "detune" it to use a SP. Am I missing
something here? The Cyclon 5000 is 167 psi and the Cyclon 300 is 181
psi max. Maybe that is what people are thinking when they talk about
adjusting it lower than nominal. But I thought we were talking about
Odins.

I'd like to know what it would mean to be upstream in the 1st stage.
And how could the 1st stage "go overpressure" and slam shut? The input
to the 1st stage should not be able to go overpressure in the sense that
it might happen to the second stage. It is the tank pressure! Can
someone explain this statement?

I have had a 1st stage freeze open one time (it froze between ice dives
in the air) but the second stages still breathed ok. The overpressure
valve on the hoses just blew the overpressure air out.

As I said in an earlier post, after that I always use the environmental
cap for ice diving. They do work.

Take care.
