Well told, sir.

Staying alive because of something someone else did is a unique 
experiance, one that is guaranteed to change your perspective forever.

The man who saved me died doing it. 

That story has nothing to do with diving, and so doesn't belong here. I 
mention it merely so I can assure you that your view of heroism, heros, 
and cowards will never be the same, and you will be able to tell them 
apart quite easily from now on.
