Hi Tom. It's not clear to me whether you are quoting someone, or if this is original material, so feel free to take this personally or not as you see fit. Anyway, your post is a load of crap. The arguments are nonsensical and the "facts" are fiction. I can't believe anyone is spreading that garbage about getting choked by the long hose. Have you ever noticed which side of your neck the trachea is on, and compared it to which side of your neck the long hose is on? Choking is not a problem, and this has been well known and documented for many years (certainly long before my time). Go read Exley's "Basic Cave Diving". I look forward to the day when someone takes the time to lay out an alternative to Hogarthian from head to toe. It will be educational or entertaining, no doubt. George, JJ, Bill Gavin, and others have all taken the time to do this. Isn't there anyone who believes strongly enough in another system to step up to the plate and do the same? If not, then what's all the noise about? - Todd > From owner-techdiver@aquanaut.com Fri Feb 28 10:22:20 1997 > To: techdiver@aquanaut.com > Subject: strokedivin in the midwest > From: cavekrazi@ju*.co* (Thomas E O'Connor) > Date: Thu, 27 Feb 1997 23:09:10 EST > > take a look at this little bit of tom foolery > > Despite the obvious safety, common sense and superior ergonmics of > breathing the short hose and butt mounting the primary light, a vocal > minority of ill mannered, myopic pea brains has a different opinion. > These people are completely and totally wrong, and it's worth looking at > why. > > [absurdity deleted] -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
