Rocky Daniels: I understand all of the things you talk about in your post. it is incredible that the people down there have so little understanding of dive tables, and such little concern for human life. However, i was in ROATAN some years ago, and one of the big things that happened while i was there was the signing (or resigning) of a contract to provide lobsters for "Red Lobster". They had contracted for every lobster that could be provided. (Of course the vacationing scuba divers were all told that lobsters were off limits!) I therefore contend that it is not the duty of altruistic divers of the US to provide for the uneducated workers of the Red Lobster corporation. I would say that its the duty of the contracting corporations to provide a safe environment for their workers for a time until the lobsters give out and the corporations pull out. I would say that some person or persons need to instigate a rather large class action law suit against these corporations to benefit the virtual slave labor that they profit so greatly from. Although the presence of a hyperbaric chamber would actually benefit divers from the US that dive the Bay Islands, i guess that you can mark me down for NO money... I refuse to donate money to help the present situation continue.
