I'm afraid not. I looked for it this morning. I'll keep an eye open
next time I go to "Club Price". They look and feel exactly like wool
socks except that on the label it said "100% polypropylene".
Any serious montain climbing/camping store should have them and
the polypropylene underwear.

Since a few years now, "Thinsulate wool" is on the market. I suspect that
socks made of that stuff would be even warmer than the polypropylene ones.
The reason thinsulate is so good is that the fibers are extremely small
in diameter. Insulation does not come from the material but rather from
the traped layer of air that you are able to keep around your body.
The same volume of thinsulate (as comapred to any other insulation
material) will therefore trap more air. Up to 30% if I remember right.
Since this stuff is also synthetic it also does not trap moisture.
I have yet to find/try a pair of "thinsulate wool" socks but I'd sure
give them a try.

BTW: I don't know about the situation down in the States but up here
everything that has the "Patagonia" label is way over priced. The stuff
is well built but you can find equivalents for 60 to 50% of the price.

In Montreal it is a suny and windy -20C and, yes, my feet are toasty since
I'm wearing one of those pairs of polypropylene socks of mine ;-)
