The polypropylene socks, sorry if I was not clear.
I can wear a pair of these and stand almost motionless in -25C weather for
more than 2 hours and not feel cold (in my feet that is). I've done it many
times over that last 5 years while tutoring astronomy "lab" sessions. It's
unfortunate but the best skies are in January and Febuary. The colder
the better, the air being the dryest but I'm disgressing...
