Chief - the reason for the isolator is as folows: the knobs are what get knocked off in an overhead. With yoke manifolds, the reg sticks up and it gets knocked loose as well. If you get the combination, or lose a reg, you need to isolate - we use it becasue we lose the knobs - they are extgremely fragile, and the stick out to the side, not where they can be protected by a cage or cobra guards.
