The following is a simple way we have avoided loosing software in the past
Most programs, unless written by professional boffins, put the termination
procedure in the inital call up procedure, where the computer looks at its
internal clock, a predefined date in the program and if one exeeds the other
it wipes its self.
This is a problem if the langauge the program in written in is compiled, as
all your have is the excutable code, however if you are desperate to keep
the software reseting the internal clock to when to the year after you
aquired the program should solve that.

The above has worked in certain instances for me, but it is only a sugestion
and I take no responbilitity for the results if you try it, for all it takes
is a good programmer and the amount of fail safes, and protection build
into the program is limitless, and any tampering could cause the program to
wipe
Be Warned you do this at your own risk,
Why do you not buy a new license for the software, or was sheck the sole
distributer.
