Jeff- Heh, heh. If you think my message was jumping on you, you have not been on this list long. My post was a gentle love tap with fuzzy little mittens. I thought I was being quite civil. Look, I am not saying that you should not listen in on this list, what you should do is LURK for a year or so that you: a) can gauge if your delicate sensibilities can handle the salty format. b) can get a feeling of the flow of discussion and the personalities involved. c) don't make a post which makes you look like a a-hole stroke. Unfortunately you have already done (c), but that is easily remedied by laying low for awhile. I also recommend that you send a message of "HELP" to techdiver-request@terra.net and learn how to do an archive search. Then enter the word "stroke" or "George" as your search criteria and you will find several dozen valuable messages to help you make equipment decisions. I repeat, this is not a forum for people trying to be a horgarth goober diver, but it is a forum for those who want to or are doing decompression diving. I am no dive god, thats for sure. I could not carry the jock-strap of the majority of the folks on this list. I am simply an atlantic diver who has burnt out on the shallower wrecks around here and needed to get the knowledge and equipment to see different wrecks, which happen to be in deeper water. Be happy, don't worry. Jim >Alright, I tried to be civilized and expected some flak, but where do you >draw the line for the "target audience of the techdiver mailing list" >anyway? Is this a super-elite list for those who have laid or seen the >end of the line in one of Wakulla or Leon's tunnels? Is it only for the >trimix divers? I never claimed to know jack shit on this list >because I probably don't; but it's not like I asked "which side of the >mask does the snorkle go on?" either. Give me a break. I should at least >qualify as a "pledge" to this fraternity. Is your reponse part of the >hazing ritual? -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
