the ring system on the Typhoon Drysuits is quite good. The gloves are by no means delicate, they are made out of the thick latex that you usually see on the "pro" or "heavy Duty" wrist and neck seals... I am very hard on glove in my line of diving/work, and get between 50-100 dives on them, which is better than any neoprene gloves I have used. It is not a snap on system. The ring is built into the suit. It is designed for detachable wrist seal for user changabilty, but I use my glove without the wrist seal underneath, and the times I have puntured them, It only flooded the finger, and part of the offending hand, and not the whole suit. I use a thin polarfleece glove by Manzilla as a glove liner, and I no longer have the cold hand problem when diving in the Northwest, or British Columbia's waters... (cold) the pro's of this system is: No rings popping off, no seals no sealing on the wrist (I have skinny wrists, and have to go with excruciatingly tight wrist seals if I am to get a seal) either from the glove, or the suit side (though you can use wrist seals underneath) incredibly great dexterity, etc... I'd never go back to neoprene.... and wet hands (they also have a user changable neck seal/hood - it has saved a dive or two for me) Oh well, enough rambling for now... Happy diving, and good luck in the warm hands department... -Laura On Fri, 17 Jan 1997, Paul Lijnen wrote: > JACKIE W. SMITH wrote: > > > > I am looking for the best cold water gloves for diving.
