In my area, we have one gas supplier, whose corporate policy it is to supply medical oxygen only to physicians, not to anyone else, even with a prescription. They don't care if they _may_, they simply _won't_ sell me a large bottle of medical O2. Just a case of covering their butts. Fortunately, they are very forthcoming with the information that the medical O2 and the industrial stuff (and the aviator's grade) all come out of the same bulk tank. Take your choice. One of the local medical outfits has an understanding with the dive shop, so at least I can keep my first aid bottle filled.
