Well I can see the flame war is getting very well heated up as it may seem.

You all are pissed at me because I said for someone with ASTHMA not to dive,
well folks, I will continue to say this for the following reasons:

1) I do not know any medical history on anyone on this mailing list, and I
do not care to. All I care about is that they are checked out by a Doctor
and cleared by the said doctor. If cleared more power to them, and I wish
them very safe diving!!

2) For me to say yes XXXXXXXX it is OK for you to dive, is very crazy on my
part. I will not put someone in jeopardy, if you all want to go for it, you
are the ones that will have to live with the outcome.. My license doesn't
allow me to play doctor on the I-net, but if you would like to come in to
the ER, I will be more than happy to take care of you in anyway needed,
wether it be a breathing treatment 20min x 3 or the good ole ET tube for
your vent.

3) No were in any of this discussion was it stated how bad the asthma was,
or what all it was brought on by. Granted Graeme D said that his was due to
colds and possible air quailities. I have to take it as the worst possible
scenario!
I did mention some other things that look and act like asthma, but no
respose was givin to those, I gess that those things do not matter in the
diving community.

4) It was construde that all you had to do was to have a physical and a
chest X-ray and you could dive. There is more to it, and I am sure that
Marty can inform you just as I can that there is alot more to it than just a
physical and X-ray.

5) Granted yes, Graeme D did post what he found at two of the sites
   www.cru.uea.ac.uk
   www.scubatimes.com
But you have to keep in mind that these are a collection of information
done in the UK in 1994. I have tried to find more info on this, but haven't
to this point. But I will still state "Don't do it" Or maybe I should say
for all the politically correct, "Don't dive unless you are checked out by a
dive quailified doctor" It appears that I am somewhat wrong on saying Don't
do it, but I still will. If you don't like it, please don't read my post,
you may get mad.

6) I did make remarks to GD, but that is the way I am at times. I asked of
him what the reason was that he was diagonsed with Asthma, and how bad it
was (more than just the words "Mild Asthma"). Still have not receive
anything from him.

7) If you don't like what I say, what I post, then DON'T read it! I am not
here to kiss anybodies butt, and will not bend to what you think I should
say. I do live in the US and I can do as I see fit, just as you also have
the option. I will continue to post here, and I will continue to learn here
just as everyone else is. If I am wrong, I will be the first to admit it!
But as it stands now, I have posted NO misinformation to anyone on this
list. If I do, you can post it via this group or you can do it privately.
But the same goes for who ever....
