No, I've seen enough postings from you that I know you'll use the tools you need to get the job done, use the best (eg. manifolded backmount) when you have a choice, and not cry over stuff you couldn't take on a particular dive because it wasn't the right thing for doing it right. > The other thing is that managing REMOVEABLE tanks is head and shoulders above >dealing with fixed tanks. I've done doff-and-don exercises enough times in various courses (including other people's basic courses as an assistant instructor) that if there was something wrong on my back that really needed attention I'd have the thing in front of me. Granted, it's not something I'd ever want to have to do in close quarters or without some leeway in time and gas, and dealing with stages or sidemounts would be a whole lot easier. In any event, there's not too much that can want attention on a manifolded backmount system that simply reaching back and turning a valve wouldn't fix. > I do it in the bahamas, so that all I have to do is take a few regs >and basic stuff, and rent single 80's from the dive shops. Nope, nothing's ever going to get in George's way and stay there. :-) -- Anthony DeBoer http://www.onramp.ca/~adb/ adb@he*.re*.or* (here) adb@ge*.co* (work) #include "std.disclaimer"
