Subject: Gear photos on CD-ROM
You might have noticed that Roger Herring has mentioned the possibility
of putting scans of the gear rigging photos from the NACD workshop onto
CD-ROM for those who would like to have it. I would be doing that and
would like to know how much interest there is in such a thing.

Please, let me know if you would be interested in it. The cost of the
CD would include a $10 contribution to the WKPP and would probably be
about $25 or $30 total. It would be a CD-Recordable and should be
readable on _most_ cd-rom drives. I've only seen problems on very old
cd-rom drives, where they couldn't read a CD-R that was otherwise ok.
So keep this in mind. If you have a very old system, you may have
problems. Good quality CD-ROM drives do a better job of reading the
recordables.

I need to know the preferred format for the cd.

1) What image format is preferred? (JPG, BMP, TIF, etc.)

2) I could include long file names on the CD for Win95 users at the
cost of Win3.x users seeing the 8.3 abbreviations of long file
    names. What is preferred here?

3) Is it necessary to be Apple Mac compatible?

Let me know your preferrences, if you are interested at all.

Thanks.
