Holy shit!! Are you for real?? You have got to be kidding. There were
several posts regarding how some people had the same idea and tried this.
The result was that they had to hire some cave divers to go down a retrieved
a tangled up bullshit mess. Will you just think. How much cable would it
need? How big would it have to be? How will it deploy and pick up the
cable?

Leave the cave diving to the pros (the WKPP). They have been doing it for
some time and it is very evident that they have a clue, where as you do not.

If there was a better way, don't you think they would do it?

George, if you guys are so interested in DOING IT RIGHT and
SAFETY can you tell me why you risk your lives when ROV's
could do a better safer job exploring those nasty caves. Hell,
you would probably be done by now and could get on to some
other worthwhile project with your "team".

But, of course YOU wouldn't have the end of the line, your
robot's would. It would be the BEST way, though. And you are
a stickler for BEST, regardless of cost. Or are there areas
where even you will weigh cost vs. risk?

You are not the be all, end all. But you do make interesting
reading.
