Stewart, the company is owned by Jack Kellon and Robert Charmichael (of Brownnies Third Lung), so will be adjacent to the Brownies display at DEMA. There will also be other things there that you may not expect out of Brownies, but then until you see Brownies, you have not seen a real operation in this industry. Jack will be there to explain how it works, I will be there to explain how it dives and how it is applied, and we will also have JJ, Bill Mee and others, and we will have some other things that we use as well. We will have video also, my rebreathers that have been beaten and battered and some new ones that have not. We will also have "Hogarth", an 8 foot tall man of steel on display, in case there is any doubt where the thinking is here. Bt the way, once enough people start diving rebreathrs to make it worth dicussing, I would like to start into the tricks so that we can avoid the stupidity that we see in scuba. I will tell you right now that my thinking on rebreather is based on the HONOR system - "get on her, and stay on her", not how to be a huge weenie and bail out every chance you get, and we have some great techniques for flying until the wings fall off - Jack Kellon is one clever dude, and I have the confidence and the balls to do what he says. The combination has resulted in the only rebreather you can cave dive with (as proven by being the only one that has done deep cave dives), and the methods of diving it that have deweeenieized and hogarthanized rebreather diving. This is pony-petting at its best, and I love it since all of the usual suspects have been up to their ass in bullshit about rebreathers. Outside of Farb, the Dude, and private posts by Pyle, the rest is trash so far. I can see why scuba is so screwed up. - G On Thu, 02 Jan 1997, Stewart & Beth Donn <donn@le*.ne*.au*> wrote: >george, i think you mentioned that the halcyon rebreather would be at >dema. who's booth will it be in? >thanks, stew. >-- >Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'. >Send subscription/archive requests to `techdiver-request@aquanaut.com'. > > George M.
