>Your arguments are distorted and ambiguous. In an OOA situation, with a >diver racing toward me for air, I want him to get a functioning, readily >available air source. If not, his panic would place us both at an even >greater risk. Think about what you are saying before you say it. I would like to point out a couple of other advantages to a long hose. - The long hose allows you to route the hose so that it does not stick out to the side of your head. The hose will not snag on the wreck or debri and will be more streamlined. - The long hose allows you to have complete freedom of left/right movement of your head. With a short hose it is either pulling or pushing the reg in your mouth. Less jaw fatigue, better scan rate. If you are into serious pillaging, fishing or lobstering, I guarantee that you will immediately notice the difference. JIm
