ii have no problem with your method as a matter of fact we use this methd on
real calm days when we don't have the seas to worry about. this way we don't
have to waste a mates dive to free the hook.
the real answer here is that there are more than one way to skin the cat &
the one that works best for you depending on size of boat,conditions,numbers
of divers,size of wreck,etc.,etc.,etc. there is no "RIGHT WAY" , there are
ways!

 when i ran charter your method is what i used...the quest. i think was for
smaller boats
 so i resp. on the basis of 35' or less >>
