Todd says: >I've noticed that in referring to the "left post" or "right post" of a >set of doubles, some people mean it one way and some the other. Confused? You don't know the half of it: What if I attach something to the post on the left -- does that make it right? Any post that is occupied has to be right, because the other one is left. What if you are using the right post -- but it's on the left? If there's only one way that's right, and you've done everything right, then everything else is left and there is no need or concern for what is left anyway. If I head down, aren't my hoses pointing up? How can a back plate have a front? An over-head environment with no one in it isn't an overhead environment anymore. If you proceed *into* a cave, then how can you proceed *out* of a cave? Don't you have to *recede* out of a cave? A stage bottle, having only one reg, has no redundant access. Can I, w/o breaking any rules, still use it? Also, stage bottles are *independents* -- is the use of independents safe or not? Do I lose a tax deduction because my tanks are now independents? If you eliminate all the wrong posts on the Net -- then what's left is by definition right. Isn't "manifold" an archaic, sexist term? See what I mean? If I can't figure this out, should I stop diving? PS "Denta-Snork -- sure! Why not dive *and* be kind to your gums at the same time?" J. Zumrick, MD Christopher A.
