Relativity. I dive there (Kingston to Chippewa Bay) all the time. In March vis is 100 - 150, but the temp is 35 F. The vis slowly gets worse as the temp rises until late Aug. Average vis in the summer is around 60 (temp low 70s), which is pretty good compared to everything else in the area. Right now the vis is around 40 - 50 feet. However, it gets dark below 100 feet. The vis is the same, it is just that the light is choked out from all the suspended particles. Big deal, so at 150 and deeper it is a night dive at any time of the day. Compared to everything else in the area, the vis is pretty good. Mike
