AIDS activists have a saying, "Silence=Death". In a smaller and less
dramatic, but no less real way, it applies to diving as well. It can
all sound so easy, "well, there I was at 276 fsw...". Among those who
are good at something, it can be almost instinctive to make light of
problems. Beginners are often fearful of ridicule (which, alas, they
sometimes get). Thanks to Harold for the cautionary tale, and to all
who replied with good advice and w/o judgement.
