Well the old metaphysics is all I have to rely on for deco and while that by any other name may be superstition, it doesn't sound like salt over the shoulder to me. But the shark stuff does! > If you go back to my original comment on this issue, I said "I am > convinced that sharks are attracted to Tekna scooters." (or words to that > effect). This remains true. The WUGGA WUGGA effect? Call in the shaman to exorcise the scooter? Maybe the whole damn company. George says they are wussie scooters anyway. (But it's my wussie scooter). > I won't even go into the efforts I have undertaken to break popular myths > about sharks - don't get me started. I expressed an opinion. I just think that we can tease out a bit more evidence and quantify your opinion a bit better. Even if it's only semi-quantitated: Is this like standing under a tree in a lightening storm or more like crossing the freeway with your eyes closed? There are differences in risk. > Well, that's a decision you will have to make. At least now, you have > one more tidbit (a diving Ichthyologist's opinion) to help you make that > decision. Again no disrespect to your opinion, Rich, but I need more more than a tidbit to make an informed decision about dragging my scooter to the shore in N. Calif the next time I go. I'm concerned that either the bite may be a whole lot larger or that it's so unlikely to happen, I'll probably be towed out of cave behind George in the buttmount position first. Not! ;-) pH
