George, Please understand that this is NOT an attack on WKPP, Hogarthian, or even you, but a genuinely curious question... I understand the streamlined position that you adopt in e event of towing another person out - it makes sense. However, there's something about this that causes me some concern. Note, however, that I'm not a scooter driver, so there may be something intrinsically obvious to someone that does have experience with a scooter. It is my understanding that the accepted method (while swimming!) of sharing air through a cave, the donee gets the long hose and precedes the donor. This prevents the donor from outswimming the donee and, therefore, leaving them with no air. Okay, now for the scootering part... As I understand from your post, the donor is attached to the scooter with the donee "drafting" in their wake. The donee is holding onto the crotch strap of the donor. What happens if the donee lets go (or slips off) the crotch strap? I have a couple of guesses, i.e. that there's some sort of acceleration to the scooter, or some other kinesthetic warning that you've lost the donee. However, if you're in a restriction of some sort, how do you turn around to go get him? -- Kevin -- ------------------------ Each new day's but a chance to regret the things I wish I had done... Here's hoping I have fewer regrets as the years roll by!
