I don't mean to sound "cynical" - but what ELSE are decompression models = if not "arbitrary". They are certainly not based on human physiology - = but simply mathematical expressions that attempt to create results that = (mostly) match real-life testing. Heck, if I developed a model based on the moon-phase - it would be valid = if it happens to WORK! So, why not use the "Pyle Model of Deep Stops". He gave you the = algorithm - it's easy enough to implement. It is based on real-life = experience and it is a mathematical expression. It's a ALREADY a model - = you just gotta use it. In my mind, the Pyle model is no more or less = "valid" than anything that's based on Haldane's "intuition". Andy
