No, bubbles PROBABLY are the issue. Unfortunately, bubble math requires a
Cray. My system requires grade-school arithmetic. There's no point in
going into all the complex math and detailed models of the bubble physics
if we don't even know that bubbles cause DCS (as you'll recall Thalmann
pointing out). What is important is that I, and George, and J-P Imbert,
and Andre Garlene, and dozens of others have independently discovered by
empiracle means that breaking up the big delta-P of an initial ascent can
reduce symptoms of DCS and "proto-DCS". That's the first step. When
they can fit a cray into a wrist-size box, and when someone can convince
me that the software running the the high-end math is relatively
bug-free, then maybe we can look into the complex models. But right now,
I think it's better to stick with whatever compartment model we're comfy
with and modify it with deep stops.

Then DO IT! At least make it an option.

I will probably be a great grandpa when that happens, and even then, the
believers in the model will probably be fooling themselves, just as the
many who misinterpreted the compartment models did.
