My dive team used one to locate an anchor that had fallen off the 
freighter Edmund Fitzgerald in the Detroit River about two years before 
she sank in Superior.  Took us about a sold day, but we found it.  This 
was a 6 ton anchor and the magnetometer worked like a charm.  We had 
wasted two day looking with a side scan sonar before that without any 
luck.
