Subject: weight and poisition wasRe: WHY WE DONT BUTT MOUNT LIGHTS

Need all the weight we can get with the heavy insulation in case of a
low-on-gas emergency which would make us light, and for more weight to offset a
more puffed up , and therefor comfortable dry suit at deco, NOT to offset
anything in the gear balance.

If the hip light feels uncomfortable, do two things: 1) use a piece of webbing
on the light rather than a weight belt stop to slide the belt through, and 2)
adjust its position on the light so that the light balances properly and does
not catch any ribs. You will want to sew the loop and hit it with a soldering
gun, so that it will not slip, but if it does, the sewing will hold the loop
