  Rich, watch the films if you want to see perfect buoyancy control. Even if 
there were a better bouyancy mechanism, which there is not (other than with no 
gear, as you point out), why would anyone want to use a convoluted mishmash of 
silliness to achieve it when there is no advantage? I catch lobsters all of the 
time, and do it with no wetsuit, so can not touch the coral, and would not 
anyway, so I am sure of the buoyancy thing .  It is in your mind. 

  Besides, they are making a small wing now, rather than the inflatable boat 
that they were making. I have a mini Zeilgle wing that may be exatly what you 
need - I use it on my single tank harness.
