I'v had the opportunity to use a Diverite backplate system, and the Diverite Transpac a fair bit (I have both), and I have been very happy with the performance of each. At 5'3 and 120lbs, (a fairly normal size for a woman) I have no problem running twins or quads and dealing with the weight. I've also trained a few women in technical and trimix, and thus worked with them in these systems, the general opinion has been: these systems fit better than some of the recreational BC's on the market. As far as padding and thin suits, I can't help you there, most of my diving is done here in Canada in a dry suit, and I can't say how well they work with a single tank because I don't do any diving where I could use a single, but if the opportunity should ever arise, you can bet that they would be the first on my list to try. I hope this helps. Dive Safe. Erika-leigh Haley Director, IANTD Canada
