Page One of the Business Section of today's Washington Post has a lead article about Gannett Publishing filing for Tradmeark protection of "Weenie of the Week" and related terminology. It seems the "Weenie of the Week" award was given each week by the now deceased Washington sportscaster Glenn Brenner. Since other stations are trying to use the term, Gannett is now seeking Trademark protection. So...does this mean George can no longer use the term "weenie" and related terms such as "weenie dive"? The lexicon posted a couple weeks ago will no doubt need to be revised. Does this constitute government intervention in technical diving? Ralph Landry
