Hank's a tough dude, he'll pull through. Not so for Charlie Carver. Charlie died of a heart attack a couple of weeks ago while diving off the North Carolina coast near Morehead City. The coroner said Charlie's death had nothing to do with diving; it coulda' happened in bed. His body was recovered in 150 feet of water. I knew Charlie; he was a longtime member of the Piedmont Diving and Rescue Association (PDRA), North Carolina's oldest diving organization. Charley will be sorely missed, though you wouldn't think so judging from the paucity (read that, total lack) of comment by the PDRA.
