Dear Roberto Bagnasco, It was really interesting to read Your story about the accident. If You don't mind I will include the report into the book I am writing now. It is going to be a FIRST manual for recreational divers in Russia and for Russians. All of You colleagues hearing me, are welcome to help me with this book. There will be a chapter of "thrilling" stories - diving accidents ended with one of those illnesses we instructors talk about: DSC, gas embolism, N-narcosis etc. While teaching all this in my school, I always realise that novices do not take it seriously - they rather think of that as of a bloody theory happening to others, but not to them. Real accidents have much more influence on their attitude. Anyone willing to send a story of his own experience or of the friend's, please, contact me personally by the following addresses: E-mail: dima@or*.bi*.ms*.su* Post: Dr. Dmitri Orlov Dept of Underwater Research Eco-Center, Moscow State University Moscow 119899 Russia Another question. Is there a newsgroup for dive-instructors with discussions on the matter of teaching, leading groups and running diving schools? I would appreciate any info on this subject. Best wishes to all Dmitri
