Kevin, Isn't a wetsuit open circuit? Further more... Rebreathers, used in the realm of the sport diver could be infinitely more safe than open circuit. The long gas duration and the lowered decompression risk are the first things that come to mind. The biggest problem I see is the desire to go deeper than the suggested 130ft sport diving limit or stay longer than the patience of the boat captain will tolerate. With a CCR 155, and a premacerated peanut butter and jelly sandwich in a bag, plumbed into their FFM, a diver could extend the morning dive throughout the day to early evening without going into decompression. A long, all day, drift dive could become a logistical problem possibly solved with a spool of line and a small inflatable radar reflector filled with helium. This also gives the diver an excuse to carry a helium cylinder, if there were a personal agenda unbeknownst to the dive guide. Mike
