(((( Rich)))) I never found out how much more air is used when communicating with the FFM.... I suppose it would depend on how much/how long you talk... and if you are a hyper personality (I heard someone at that rebreather forum that SURE was an expert at stringing words together fast and hard....lol). I tried Morgans S1S FFM ... as a virgin of FFM's I was so jazzed with the unit ... I know I must have used half a tank of O2 .... I was disappointed in one thing only..... that I didn't have anyone to talk to... no fish swam by ...Peter Heseltine who was spotting me.... swam the other way after hearing me ...and so hearing my own sweet voice ... I held a wonderful conversation about Bev Morgan and what a nice man he was to make this great gear so people like me could babble to marine life and drive their partners crazy!!! Other than that I had to learn how to equalize without holding my nose... due to the metal nose grip. I suffer from dry mouth syndrome while diving sometimes... Im wondering if this symptom would still occur with the FFM.... I should have asked at forum! I will surely add it to my Christmas list as a stocking stuffer item.... I really appreciated the opportunity to try their gear... and they were sooooo nice!! Pinks Rich - >> We've been reluctant to go to FFM's primarily for bailout reasons, but after seeing Bev Morgan's new mask, there is hope yet. That will change a lot of how we do what we do (for example, we'll probably shift more towards the buddy system). Rich --
