A plate is easy enough to make/copy.

I'd be lying if I said that $$$ had nothing to do with it. I could have
bought 40$CDN ankle weights, I made my 2$CDN version, could have bought an
800$CDN light, I made my own for 300$CDN. Sure, I could buy a ~300$CDN
OMS SS plate suggested retail price, I'd rather make my own for ~100$CDN.
The day I have a real job and no easy access to a machine shop, the
story will be different.
Don't worry, I won't try to make my own manifolds...
